We are happy to announce that mBox Mail 3.0.1 is now available in the App Store as a free update!
As of 3.0.1, mBox Mail now supports the much request visual, sound and/or badge Push notifications! Notifications inform you of new mail as you receive it without having to keep the application open all the time.
The branding has also been updated as per user feedback. Finally, a lot of behind the scenes work was done to squash a number of reported bugs and made an effort to improve app stability and sync speed.
Thank you to the mBox Mail community for the patience and positive attitude. We hope you enjoy the app. Let us know what you think in the comments or via twitter.
Please note mBox Mail 3 is compatible with OS 3.0 and higher only.

Push has stopped working for me. Tried the steps posted but still no joy. Notification for mBox Mail is set for Alert and Badge, Sound is set to Off. Quiet Time is Off.
I sent a test message to myself through Hotmail on my PC. It arrived at my Hotmail In-Box but no Push Notification arrived on my iPhone. It has now been over 10 minutes.

I’ve tried all the instructions and I still can’t get it to work. I’ve tried waiting up to 20 minutes. I’m in the UK.

I did what you said, turned iphone off and on etc – still no push. And all the settings are proper, and have been toggled multiple times :-S

You guys need to step back and look at the overall process to get push working. Use some good old QA and test like crazy with a group of beta testers.
Right now I have a new iphone that is not jailbroken. I have tried everything you are suggesting and have gotten two push alerts over the last 24 hours. I get about 20 messages on this phone so you have a long way to go to get me true push. Also, five minute delays will not cut it.

How do I turn off the push notifications???

R, you may turn off Push by editing your mBox Mail accounts and toggle the push switch on each. Then restart mBox Mail and allow a full sync.
If you want to just disable during certain time periods, use the quiet time feature under mBox Mail > About/info screen.
If you want to disable visual and sound alerts you may do so at the application level by going to settings app > notifications > mbox mail and disable everything but badge. We suggest you not disable push all the way from here.
Hope that answers your question.
